Hey everyone,
today I want to share with you a Do-It-Yourself blogpost on easter decoration. A few days ago I created an easter nest in form of a hay wreath and decorated it with some eggs. If you would like to do one yourself, I created a step to step guide for you which you can see when clicking on the pictures :) The whole process only took me around 30 minutes and was quite easy. My only recommendation is to clean the floor afterwards as some hay might fall down.
I hope you have fun making this easter nest and wish you all a happy sunday!
Yours Mimi
What we need: florist wire, straw wreath, hay
Step 1: We take the florist wire and fix it onto the straw wreath.
Step 2: We take some hay and place it where we want it to be and we make sure to cover the complete wreath.
Step 3: Then we take the florist wire and roll it around the wreath. It is important that we hold the hay with the other hand.
Step 4: We repeat Step 2 and 3 while making sure to hide the florist wire under each layer of hay.
When we’re done, our wreath might still have some holes. Now we will cover them with hay and roll the wire around again. I also tried to roll it around the loose ends to make the wreath look a little bit more polished.
Step 5: Now we are done with most of the work. We only need to fix the florist wire at the bottom of the wreath.
Step 6: Our wreath looks almost ready the only thing I personally don’t like is the wire which shoes through everywhere.
Step 6: So what we do to fix this is loosen some hay and stick it over the wire.
Step 7: Be proud of what we’ve achieved and now it’s time to decorate our wreath :)
